HOW SURVIVAL SENTRY WORKS
1 – A Tornado is Sighted in Your County.
2 – The National Weather Service Issues a Tornado Warning.
3 – The Warning is Received and Retransmitted to a Communication Company.
4 – The “Survival Sentry” Box receives the Message and Sets off the Siren inside the Alarm Panel.
Tornado season usually begins April 1st, yet already in 2008 there have been 350 reports of tornadoes and at least 60 tornado related fatalities across the United States. Many of these fatalities occurred at night since 72.9 percent of all tornados happen between the hours of 2 pm and 10 pm. This means that the victims were asleep and unaware of the approaching tornado. Survival Sentry allows people to take cover even before the tornado sirens are able to be heard and if the electricity has been lost.
Survival Sentry is offered to the public by HESI Security, Inc. The cost of Survival Sentry is $149.95 plus a $7.95 monthly subscription fee for the service. Survival Sentry is professionally installed by licensed alarm technicians, since it is an addition to an existing or new residential or commercial alarm system. Survival Sentry will be available April 2008.
